Strawberry Pop•Tarts… Mmmm… Frosted, of course. So very yummy. What I really need though, is a tall glass of milk. Don't have one, however. Poor planning on my part.
So, enough about my breakfast. I saw the strangest thing yesterday! I was early to my tennis lesson so I plugged into my iPod and took a walk around Kawanis Park. Toward the back of the complex is a very small dock overlooking Sykes Creek. I walked out onto it to regard the mangroves. I had never taken a close look at them before and they're rather interesting. Some of the branches grown downward and become trunks. (Please excuse my very unscientific explanation) I was checking this all out and noticed something moving up in the tree. To my surprise it was a crab! Up in the tree! I guess it crawled up one of the trunks and was exploring. I thought it was amazing and also a bit creepy.
I didn't write about the weekend yesterday so I'll hit the highlights now. Assuming there are any. I spent a good deal of time on the computer. Got a lot accomplished, so that's a good thing. I played tennis Saturday morning and had a really good time. Most of the people I played with were better than me, but I managed to hold my own and not disappoint any of my partners. Tom and I went to Melbourne that evening. I drove with the top down and we enjoyed the mild weather. Bought some socks at Sports Authority and then went to Shells for dinner. My favorite… Shrimp Mezzo Mezzo…
On Sunday, Tom worked on tuning our mountain bikes, getting them ready for the upcoming trip. I gave my bike a bath, which is incredibly tedious. So many tiny things and hard to get to spaces. When it started raining, I went indoors and spend most of the day freelancing. After a couple of hours I started feeling dizzy and nauseated, probably from staring at the computer screen for so long, so I took a break and caught up on my Tivo recordings. I'm trying to keep things from getting way backed up as I have in the past. My list of shows is quite long so the potential is high.
I like crabs, but that does seem a little creepy.
