With great trepidation, I went to Lori's to have my hair cut and styled yesterday. The results for the past few months have been less than stellar, so I had decided that this was it. Either this cut worked out, or I was going back to all one length. Basically, no style at all.
I brought with me my entire folder of photos of Lisa Rinna's hairstyle and the photos I had doctored with my own face in place of hers (the only time in my life I've had cleavage!). To Lori's credit, she dutifully studied the photos, then examined my hair, then went back to the photos until she determined what was wrong with my current cut and why I could no longer style it to resemble the original cut.
She still over-poofed the top so I was glad I wasn't going anywhere in public after I left her studio. But when I washed and styled my hair this morning, it was behaving much like it should. My technique is rusty since I long ago gave up trying, but I'm sure I'll figure it out again soon.
What a relief! I'm nearly as sick of whining about my hair as Tom is of hearing about it.

I'm no longer playing ladies doubles at the KSC picnic with Diane. There hasn't been as much interest as anticipated and we are the only ones signed up for that category. (I figure we won the trophy, right?) So we're splitting up and playing mixed doubles instead. My new partner, Miguel, is a really good player. He's involved in the running of the tournament as well. I suspect that he just felt sorry for me and didn't want me to miss out on playing. Who knows though - with him carrying our team, we might just do pretty well.
I feel for you and your hair woes. I try to go to a new style, but the end result is that I always default to my own way of blow-drying and then it just looks same old, same old.
