The stitches in my hand were removed yesterday. Hurray! Now I can wash my hand! It was getting very tiresome, working around the band-aid, trying to keep the stitches clean and dry. My hand is a little ouchy though. And I'm going to have to work on getting full range of motion. Curling my fingers down is working very well, but bending them back will take some concentrated effort. I also need to massage vitamin E oil into the scar, to keep the skin soft and pliable. It feels a bit tough right now.
Getting the stitches out wasn't exactly pleasant; a tug and a sting. Tom had warned me about that. He also offered to take them out for me as well. Uh, no thank you.
