Just as a follow up to the last post - no, the weather didn't improve much for the holiday weekend. While the rain wasn't quite so constant, it still rained enough to foil some of my plans. I got up early on Saturday, drank coffee, read the newspaper, ate breakfast and was on my way to change into my tennis clothes when it started raining. Boo.
I did detail the interior of the Mazda though. That's one really good thing accomplished. But I didn't trim the bushes on the west side of the house. Oh well, there's always next weekend. Or the one after that.

So, I have this brown sun spot on my left cheekbone. It's been there for years. I've had it checked out with my dermatologist and it's not cancerous or pre-cancerous. (technically speaking it's a lentigo) But it's ugly and it's the first thing I see when I look in the mirror.
I've considered having a laser treatment to try and lighten it. Which is expensive, but not seeing that spot any longer would be worth quite a lot of money to me. However, I happened upon a less expensive solution that is helping my entire face as well:
Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Corrector - a light weight serum that gently creates a notably more even complexion with a brightness and clarity.
Combined with Even Better Makeup SPF 15 - naturally luminous minerals perfect, while Vitamin C helps restore a brighter tone over time, guarding against future damage.
I started using both products about five weeks ago. The info states that it can take four weeks before you see any difference, so I diligently applied my serum (1 or 2 times a day) and the foundation (most days, skipping here and there). Today it occurred to me that the spot is definitely lighter. It was a fairly dark spot, but there is really a difference now. Also, my skin tone is much more even overall.
I'm really thrilled with my results and plan to keep on using these two amazing products.
And yes, apparently when it comes to makeup, I show no loyalty. I'm currently using a combination of Lancome (cleansers & moisturizers, lipstick & liner, loose powder, blush), Clinique (serum & foundation, lipstick & liner), Mac (eyeshadow, blush), CoverGirl (mascara) and various interesting bits and pieces.
