Between not much of interest going on and being extremely busy at work, I haven't gotten around to posting in quite a while. Rather than play catch up, I'll just move forward.
TOMORROW IS DENISE'S 40TH BIRTHDAY! HOO HOO!
Yep, Denise is poised to join me in the 40s. It doesn't feel much different, in my opinion. And it's nice to actually know my age. I swear, for nearly the past decade I've had to do math when asked.
Yesterday I went on one of the slowest bike rides of my life. I joined Vicky and a small group at Cocoa Village and we rode the south end of River Road. The group was older than my usual gang and the mix of bikes was eclectic. Vicky rode her hard tail mountain bike, one man was on a hybrid and a couple rode their touring bikes. It was definitely a casual ride, but I was more than happy with that. While I didn't burn many calories, it was nice to cruise along without cranking away, trying to keep up with a fast pace.
Tom is on second shift this week, so I was by myself in the evening. Usually when I talk about him being gone in the evening, it's a good thing. It's rare that I'm home alone, so I consider it sort of a treat. But this second shift thing has gone on long enough (he was on 2nd part of last week, too). I rather like having him around. Plus, watching the tour by myself isn't much fun at all.
Thank You for the birthday message. I was born the day the men took off for the moon...maybe I should find some moon pies for my family to enjoy!
