After several weeks of rainy afternoons, we're finally having a bit of a dry up. I'm not complaining, even though it's super hot, because we were finally able to have tennis clinic last night. Eight of us showed up for a night of hitting down the line. That's a really great skill to have, but not an easy one to execute. Mary Ann gave us many different challenges, including hitting with an opponent in a side alley. The ball had to stay in the alley, or you lost the point. That's a very narrow spot of real estate!
The weather was pretty nice. There was a slight breeze, so it wasn't too awful when we started playing. Then a storm started moving in from the west. It never reached us, but the cloud coverage was nice and the clouds and sunset were gorgeous.
