This morning I had my final physical assessment following the end of the WOW program. I made improvements in all areas since the midterm assessment and I'm fairly proud of my results. Particularly my VOx Max score of 35.6. For a woman my age, my number is in the excellent range!
VO2 Max: the maximum capacity of an individual's body to transport and utilize oxygen during incremental exercise, which reflects the physical fitness of the individual.
I have also decreased my body fat by 6%. Which is amazing as I haven't exactly been putting much effort into the nutrition portion of the program. What a shame, too, because if I had, I might be a pants size or two smaller right now. Probably the cardio and strength training are what made that happen.
I did put myself back on Weight Watchers this week. Hopefully I'll stick to it this time. I was doing so good at the beginning of the year, then the 40th Birthday Extravaganza happened and it all went to hell in a hand basket. I'm not paying or attending meetings this time. By now I know what to do, I just need to make myself do it.
It's time for the weekend and I'm grateful for that. My plan is to start by doing cardio at the gym right after work. After all, it's still Pizza Night. I will just have to skip the sausage and I won't be able to dip my crusts in ranch dressing. Dang. Hardly seems worth it.
