I hate packing. Though, some trips are easier to pack for than others. Packing for mountain biking isn't too tricky, depending on the weather. Looks like we're in for cold weather this time, so I will bring long sleeve shirts to layer, maybe a couple of short sleeved ones just in case, several pairs of biking shorts and my tights. If it's not too cold, shorts will be fine. I wish I had a good windproof warm cycling jacket. Tom bought a great one last fall and I wish I had ordered the womens version for myself. Oh well. I'll survive somehow. Besides, it looks like rain on Friday so we will be going to REI to meet up with Ann. Maybe I can find something there.
Tom has been working diligently these last couple of days, selecting what he plans to bring and organizing it on the dining room table, ready to be packed, once I get around to doing the same. I guess I'm just better with some pressure underneath me. My focus has been on transferring my Tivo recordings to my laptop so that I can keep up with my shows while we're in North Carolina.
The rest of my selections should be pretty easy, really. A pair of jeans or two, my fleece pants, long sleeved shirts, a jacket or two, socks, undies, basic stuff. All of my facial cleansing and moisturizing stuff, but next to no makeup. Electronic devices: Kindle, iPod, iPhone, cameras, plus charging cables for each.
It's not difficult or complicated. I just need to kick myself in the butt and get it done. First thing this afternoon, I promise.
Hope you had a wonderful time! I like the mental packing list...that's half the battle.
