I was just reading over my posts from January of last year and it's amazing how similar this year is going. There were many mentions of my painful right elbow and missing out on tennis. That's exactly what's going on right now. I imagine going back in time and telling myself that after an entire year, I still wouldn't be playing tennis.
I didn't really make any resolutions, but mentioned wanting to replace the Cocoa-Cola theme in the kitchen with something else. And yet the Cocoa-Cola stuff is still in residence. We did replace the light over the bar in the kitchen with a new one, so there's that at least. Tom is unemployed again, so that's still going on.
It's all pretty depressing.

Since I haven't been able to play tennis on the weekends, I have started walking. In the beginning, I just walked our neighborhood. Then one day I ventured out of the neighborhood and just let myself wander. Though wander implies a pleasant stroll and I've actually been keeping up a good pace. I try to keep it in the 15:30 minute per mile range. Since PSJ is built like a puzzle, I bring a map along with me. Every couple of weeks I up the mileage. Almost to eight now and it takes about two hours.
I really enjoy it though. Audiobooks keep me well entertained as well as viewing the scenery. Such a variety of houses, yards, plants and decorations. I'm also on the watch for cats. Sadly, I'm moving to quickly to try to pet any, but I like to see them all the same.
Well, if I want to get this published today, I'd better stop now. But I am planning to try to make posting a habit again. We'll see.
