Yesterday, four weeks since my stitches were removed, I had another post op visit with Dr. H. Though I actually was seen by his PA, Meg. My arm is healing nicely. The fact that I really do feel improvement seemed to be a very good thing. I still need to work on getting my arm to straighten. I can bend it well, at least. I was given a prescription for occupational therapy. No strengthening yet, just gentle stretching and massage. Which sounds rather pleasant actually. I'm hoping to do it at RehabWorks at KSC because it will be convenient (can go during lunch) and it won't cost me anything.
As far as activities go, I am to use common sense. If it hurts, stop doing it. If it feels okay, then by all means continue. Tennis is still many months away, but I'm anxious to give bicycling a try. If the weather would ever let me.
We are definitely in our rainy season. It rains every day, often several times. And it's been super humid. Our windows are covered in condensation most of the time. I'm ready for fall.
