I'm dragging a bit today. I was up until 12:30 or so, watching tennis and pricing stuff. The tennis is what actually had me up so late. Ladies semi-finals. Sharapova won (yay!), however, up and comer Madison Keys did not manage to beat Serena. But she didn't make it easy for her and I hope she's proud of how much she has accomplished during this tournament.
So, Tom and I had a favorite chicken dish – Kraft Fresh Take Cheddar Jack & Bacon. It's like Shake 'n Bake with cheese. Very tasty and quick and easy to make. We had it nearly every week. But Kraft took it off the market, making us very sad. But, they put up a substitute recipe on their website and I gave it a try last night. We were both pretty pleased. Not quite the same, but good and I'm sure over time we'll forget about the original one.
But this begs a question. If the item was so popular that they posted a recipe online, why did they discontinue it? Seems like it must have been well-liked. There were a lot of flavors, perhaps they should have culled it down to 2 to 3 favorites.
Another favorite that has disappeared from the shelves is Stove Top stuffing in a canister. They still sell the boxes, but I really liked the canisters because I could make however many servings I wanted. The only place I can find them is on Amazon and the price seems ridiculously high. We liked to have it with Shake 'n Bake pork chops. (I'm sensing a theme)
