The building I work in used to have a cafeteria. There was a hot meal station, a salad bar, a soup bar, a grill (hamburgers, hotdogs) and a deli station. Something for everyone and a lot of variety. Then the contract changed and the cafeteria went away. We now have a food court. Which sounds great, except that there are only two restaurants in it. Subway and 8's, which is owned by Sonny's and serves hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, baked potatoes. Not much variety now.
I ate at both occasionally, then Subway came out with their flatbread pizza called Flatizza. Their sauce was too sweet for me, but that didn't matter because I ordered a Ranch Flatizza (not on the menu). Here's the recipe: soft flatbread, ranch dressing, mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of oregano. Awe. Some. I admit to getting a bit addicted to it.
When we returned to work after Christmas break, I was given the devastating news that the Flatizza had been taken off the menu. Wah! But then I thought… they still have the ingredients. Why couldn't I order a veggie flatbread and be able to have my beloved Ranch Flatizza? The employees were willing, they just didn't have the little pizza boxes any more. So I bring my own plate for them to put it on, cover it with a sheet of sandwich wrapping paper and Boom! Ranch Flatizza! So, so good.
Well, last night I did indeed un-decorate the Christmas tree. The ornaments are all off. The non-Hallmark ones are all snuggled back in their own boxes and packed into their storage containers. I'll deal with the Hallmark ornaments tonight, which will be quite a chore. But I've brought everything into my room and I can watch my recorded shows while I rewrap and re-box them. I am anxious for all of the Christmas stuff to be back in the attic and out of sight. It really bothers me when there are little bits still hanging around. I want either all of it or none of it.
Thought it was worth mentioning that I just finished reading Big Little Lies and it was very good. Couldn't stand to stop reading good. Highly recommend.
